Well it was find meeting an old friend from Malaysia whom I haven’t met in quite some time. Took her to Freo prison for spooks and I was quite surprised the new cast they chosen for this time wasn’t as creepy as the first time I went there. Before this, the ‘ghosts’ were exclusively picked. But the final ‘ghost’ a lady who burst into the chapel really gave me some goosebums. Girls with long black hair just creeps me out (no I am not referring to the one in the photo).

I just read my assignment with ahem ahem, my favourite assignment giver, Robert Durrand. Okay, I am not kidding. He talks like an arse but he is a smart arse. He doesn’t provide us theoretical works for our assignments and that’s what I like about him. He gives all those theoretical works for us to study ourselves. Although, I am not sure how the exams are gonna be like. Well, the assignment is titled Archie’s Challenge. Long story short, we need to come out with trading strategies for practically two months and write a report on our portfolio. Exciting? Well I need to be in the same mode as last year’s when I entered the JPMorgan share trading competition and lost to some oke from Melbourne. I guess I will be on my phone checking up prices every second from now on. I just hope that WebCT is easily accessible from it too.

In December we heard some shopping centres in the US were practically empty. I read on CNBC that roses were drying up on Valentines day providing losses to many florists. Some florists actually had to close down because they were already making losses as not many are buying flowers as a gift during this recession.Then hoping to register profits,ther ordered more flowers in bulks. I wouldn’t say they were stupid, but it is the recessionary effects. There are still avenues that governments around the world are offering. Being typical me, not a believer of Keynesian supply-side economics rather believing in the demand-side, I just believe government spending will provide further losses in Malaysia (Well I am no economics major, but I Wiki from time to time). I want to see more schemes towards small businesses and the financial industry. They should provide a certain form of assurance for people who wants to start a business. I for one would like to have a small business on my own as a side income and this is something that should be promoted. Schools in the country should be given emphasis. Certain school are already practicing this by having Hari Keusahawanan and I think it would be best if education is given a higher boost at this times of crisis. One thing I doubt about this system is when students aren’t given capital to start their own mini businesses on a single day. Schools with middle class students have a lot of advantage over this but not in the outskirts. There are strategies that could be adopted at this time but even I can’t really predict what sort of economic impact students will be making but the educational experience they get from this will be priceless.

Secondly, I just hope that Malaysia will soon be able to get out of the Doctor/Pharmacist-science stream emphasis in schools. I understand that it is good that we are advocating to have more doctors in Malaysia, however I have doubts over this mentality from time to time. I believe we should concentrate more on increasing the knowledge capital in Malaysia rather than working on the career based capital increment that we tend to think would be the best choice right now. I personally don’t care what you studied in Uni and I personally respect people who venture into something that not many Malaysians are currently doing based on their interest rather than following the market interest. I also think that Malaysia shouldn’t be looking to much on the issue of having limited doctors. Realistically speaking, it is not about having many doctors in our country right now. We should concentrate on managing the doctors in Malaysia at a better rate. Let’s look at it this way, we tend to have an interest in getting more construction workers from overseas, is it wrong if we want to get more doctors from overseas? Is it wrong if we could increase the minimum wage of doctors working under the government? Most economists are advocates for a long run equilibria in the market, but I think certain solutions need immediate attention. Australia has their fare share of overseas doctors, apparently they are about 60-70% of them weren’t born in Australia.

A lot of issues need to be addressed in this situation but most people tend to be to0 academic when it comes to managing the recession. Sometimes they just need to listen to the average Ali, Ah Chong, and Maniams in order to manage this crisis. Oops, I’m starting to sound a bit like a socialist.

Pada pagi tadi, saya berjumpa dengan seorang rakan wanita Australia. Seronok juga catch up dengan rakan lama. Tiba-tiba, dia menanya betulkah Anwar Ibrahim adalah seorang peliwat. Saya masih percaya ini semua adalah konspirasi politik semata-mata kerana kes ini tidak pernah dibuktikan di mahkamah bahawa Anwar Ibrahim adalah seorang peliwat.

Kerana kami adalah rakan yang begitu casual sekali dan tidak ada sifat malu-malu, saya menanya dia, “Have you ever had anal sex before?”

“It was f**king painful mate!”

Hehe, agaknya sekiranya kes liwat Anwar-Saiful ini adalah benar, apalah agaknya reaksi Saiful semasa beliau diliwat? Happy? Menangis?Mungkin dia patut memberi penjelasan yang lebih detail. Rosakkan lagi minda kanak-kanak Malaysia.

Kes liwat ini hanya memalukan negara sahaja. Dipermainkan oleh media massa. Orang semua pun tertanya-tanya betulkah Anwar Ibrahim seorang peliwat. Tiada isi dan logiknya. Kes ini tidak patut dibawa ke mahkamah langsung tetapi sepatutnya di muka surat 33 di media massa, atau tidak perlu diletakkan di mana-mana langsung.

Well, itu isu lama. Tetapi, mata-mata di Malaysia sedang membincangkan samada KeAdilan akan membentuk kerajaan federal dalam beberapa bulan ini. Slowly mereka kata.

Saya berharap: more tax cuts, no more GST in McDonalds and any other products, no more petroleum tax or subsidies and be sold at face value of the global price. Australia’s petroleum tax is at 70% or so if I’m not mistaken, higher regulations in the financial industry to identify discrepancies, leave education for schools to decide independently, establish town councils elections and also JKKK elections too.

I am pretty confident that something big will happen this year. It’s that gut feeling you simply get.

The Guardian featured an article about how the growing alarming rate of sexual tendencies for people as young as 13 years old in the UK. The writer reported that someone witnessed a 13 year old girl giving a blowjob at a London garden while being recorded by the boy. Why was it video taped? The writer thinks that it was recorded as a ‘trophy’ to show some of their friends of the magnificent prize they have attained.

In Malaysia, this phenomena does not escape from our reality. Numerous websites dedicated for Malay people to upload their sexual videos online for the world to see. I am not too familiar of the website, but some of my mates watches them for entertainment purposes. Some of my friends think that they even know who the girls are in the videos.

What I feel about this is, where is the shame of the wanita Melayu anymore these days? There was a video where a girl from a popular girl school in PJ was only identified because of her socks which had the school logo. She was of course expelled from the school.

As a conservative, I am not for a federal or state government control on this issue. I believe everybody has their own fundamental rights on the internet. It is up to them if they want to show their naked bodies or sucking another man’s penis online. But they should realise what they are doing is against the natural laws of sex where it should remain in the bed room only. Now, people are doing it everywhere even in the screen of your home computer. Government can’t control us by providing a higher internet censorship. These things will continue unless families start adhering conservative or religious values. Schools too must have a role in this where proper sex education is done. People should realise that sex is not all about being haram, it is a social stigma.
